Sarah Lopez, DVM

Dr. Sarah Lopez joined VESCNM in 2017. She chose to purse emergency medicine as a challenge to broaden her knowledge in the small animal medicine filed. Dr. Lopez was raised on a cattle ranch in the East Mountains where she developed a passion for cattle and horses, which later expanded to all creatures great and small. She knew by the age of 6 that she would grow up to be a veterinarian. To this day she enjoys going back to the ranch to help her dad with the cattle reproduction and general large animal medicine.

Off Duty:
When Dr. Lopez is not in the office she enjoys being at the ranch with her dog Zia and riding horses. She also enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing, hunting and most outdoor sports. When not outside you can usually find her playing competitive volleyball on any indoor court.

Being a part of the VESC family as been a great experience so far! The faculty and staff have been great mentors and we all a great team spirit. The clients have been friendly and welcoming and I love the anticipation of never knowing what kind of challenge is going to walk through the door. I like to think that the clinic as a whole can problem solve and accomplish anything together. GO COUGS!
