Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Centers is seeking a board certified or residency trained small animal internist to join our team of specialists.  VESC is a multi-specialty hospital that is open 24/7.  Our hospital offers specialized care in Surgery, Internal Medicine, Critical Care, Dermatology, Physical Therapy, Ophthalmology, Animal Behavior, and Acupuncture. The hospital was established with the goal of providing advanced medical care to meet the emergency and specialty needs of the veterinary community in New Mexico and surrounding states. Our role is to strengthen and maximize the relationship between people and their beloved pets by providing the best specialty veterinary care possible. Full Time Board Certified or Eligible Cardiologist

VESCNM is seeking a board certified or residency trained Cardiologist to join our fast-paced, 24-hour emergency/critical care/specialty referral practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Our state-of-the-art, 15,000 sq. ft. facility offers you a fully equipped dedicated exam rooms and a trained staff to assist you.  You will also have an in-house lab, imaging equipment, and monitoring tools.  Additionally, our team includes 4 board certified specialists covering the areas of Surgery, Internal Medicine, Critical Care, physical therapist, acupuncture and animal behavior.

Skills and Qualifications

  • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university.
  • Residency training with board eligibility or certification in Cardiology.
  • Ability to become licensed to practice in the state of New Mexico.
  • Professional comportment and appearance, with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, friendly attitude.

Job Responsibilities

  • Establish a good rapport with referring veterinarians, including: timely and professional communication; assistance in their professional growth and education through recommendations and interaction on referred and shared cases; ongoing development of a positive and professional working relationship; participation in Continuing Education involving the local referral community.
  • Assist in the development and training of the paraprofessional team to ensure the delivery of the highest quality care and exceptional client service.
  • Assist with marketing the services of the specialty practice through a variety of outreach programs, some of which include: making hospital visits to referring veterinarians, assisting with local CE meetings, answering all calls from referring veterinarians promptly, helping with production of hospital newsletters and case reports.

Full and Part Time Veterinary Technicians

Veterinary Emergency Specialty Centers of New Mexico (VESCNM) is currently looking for motivated RVT/experienced registered veterinary technicians to join our well-established specialty and emergency practice. In addition to a thriving emergency practice, VESCNM has board certified specialists in emergency/critical care, surgery, internal medicine, dermatology, oncology, and animal behavior. Our two board-certified criticalists provide 7-day a week coverage and are available for after-hours calls on a case-by-case basis at our midtown Albuquerque location. Our emergency practices are growing in both in Albuquerque and Santa Fe, so we are seeking motivated individuals to join our teams Responsibilities include treatment of unstable and or critically ill patients; triaging emergency patients or specialty patients; monitoring hospitalized pets; performing patient tests, treatments and nursing care; admitting and discharging patients; client communication and education; anesthesia monitoring; surgical prep, and answering technical calls. In addition to a thriving emergency practice, VESCNM has board certified specialists in emergency/critical care, surgery, internal medicine, dermatology, oncology, and animal behavior. Our two board-certified criticalists provide 7-day a week coverage and are available for afterhours calls on a case-by-case basis at our midtown Albuquerque location. Our emergency practices are growing in both Albuquerque and Santa Fe, so we are seeking motivated individuals to join our teams. We feel an additional criticalist in our Santa Fe practice will provide the guidance and leadership needed to help this practice continue to provide the best emergency care in the area. We provide compensation with a guaranteed base salary and percentage production, and off er a signing bonus. Full Time Veterinary Technician

The Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Center of Santa Fe is searching for an experienced full time Veterinary Technician to work in our busy emergency practice. Schedules vary but generally allow for 3-4 days off per week. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of current experience as a veterinary technician working in a fast-paced, patient-centered veterinary practice, preferably critical, specialty or emergency care. Your strong technician skills and recent work experience should require little job training and allow you to jump in quickly to a critical care setting.

LOCUM POSITIONS

Locum Emergency Doctor Needed

What better way to spend the summer than somewhere full of sunshine, great food, and fun. Veterinary Emergency Specialty Centers of New Mexico (VESCNM) is currently looking for locum Emergency doctors to support both our Santa Fe and Albuquerque facilities through the busy summer months.

Santa Fe boasts a vibrant cultural, art and culinary scene. During the summer one can take advantage of the numerous outdoor activities in the area, from biking and hiking to camping and kayaking. Albuquerque also boasts phenomenal outdoor activities and cuisines, and is home to many excellent museums.

Locum doctors would be asked to work for VESCNM for 4 week blocks or longer, averaging 12 shifts in a 4 week period. All travel and lodging expenses would be covered in addition to shift pay. We are looking for relief during the months of May through September.

In addition to a thriving emergency practice, VESCNM has board certified specialists in emergency/critical care, surgery, internal medicine, physical therapy, dermatology, oncology, acupuncture, and animal behavior. Our two board-certified criticalists provide 7 day week coverage and are available for after-hours calls on a case-by-case basis.
